Hello everyone, Jose Rangel passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2023 at Harris Methodist in Fort Worth, Texas. He was admitted to the emergency room on October 30th after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke. He then battled through a week-long stay in the ICU with his family alongside him. In the end, the damage he sustained was too much for his body to handle. While we are heartbroken, we take solace in the fact that we were able to spend some more time with him before he moved on from this world.
As a first generation US Citizen, Jose understood the meaning of hard work to create a better life for his family. Throughout his life he worked many jobs simply trying to find something which could sustain and elevate his family. In being one of the most generous and selfless people, he always put his family and friends first. There wasn’t a plea for help that ever went unanswered, whether it was helping to fix a broken heart with advice or fixing a broken car, the man was always there. Ultimately, he was driven by his will to provide for his three kids (Sarah, Joseph and Matthew) by getting all three through college by any means necessary and oftentimes working many long days and weeks. This past May, he was able to see his dream come into fruition. He beamed with pride and would always take the opportunity to express this sentiment with his friends, as they can attest.
Our goal for this fund is to assist in covering the outstanding hospital bills incurred during his stay in the ICU and for his surgeries. Any potential unused funds will be to set up an emergency house fund. Link to obituary here.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to provide your love, prayers, and kind words. We are fortunate and grateful to have the family and friends that we do in our lives. We sincerely appreciate any and all financial contributions.
