This year for the Gracie May dream a little dream charity I have taken on the Chester triple Running event.

I completed the 10k in March, the half Marathon in May, and the the full marathon is happening on the 11th of October!

The Chester marathon is hilly and going to prove a challenging course compared to my previous and first marathon in Manchester during 2025.

Gracie May’s Dream A Little Dream was created in memory of Gracie May, a beautiful little girl whose life was changed by childhood cancer.

Gracie was just three years old when her family discovered she had cancer. She spent around six months receiving treatment in children’s oncology, where her family experienced the unimaginable reality of watching their little girl go through something no child should ever have to face.

Sadly, Gracie died in February 2025, aged just four.

But her story didn’t end there…..

Gracie May’s Dream A Little Dream was created to carry her love forward. The charity supports local children’s oncology wards and the children and families who spend time there. Helping to bring little moments of happiness into days that can otherwise feel frightening, exhausting and overwhelming.

Through donations and fundraising, the charity provides things such as:

Memory-making experiences for children and their families.

Gifts, toys and activity packs to bring comfort and distraction during hospital stays.

Care packages for children and parents.

Activities and entertainment that help children simply be children.

Items and improvements for children’s oncology wards to make hospital environments more welcoming

Special surprises and celebrations for children facing treatment

Projects that create lasting memories for families during an incredibly difficult chapter of their lives.
