My name is Jo Sweigart. I had a terrible accident in my car in April, breaking my sternum, my ribs, my foot, and my leg straight across underneath my knee—one of the worst places to recover from, I've been told.

I'm a hairdresser who's on my feet every day, and I realize that I don't have the same leg, so doing hair is now gonna be a memory for me. In the meantime, I'm trying to get disability, which is taking a while, and have no income coming in at this time. I'm deathly afraid of being evicted.

I've made it this far with friends and family who have helped every way that they can. I have half of my January rent, but that's it. Everything else was paid off by the wonderful friends and family that have been helping me. It's gonna be a little haul till I get back on my feet again, and trust me, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I'm not good at reaching out, but I pray for each and every one of you and thank you for all you have done for me already. Love and hugs.
