Jo and I met whilst working in London, we were both in the British Transport Police (B.T.P), It was love at first sight, honest!, we got together and after a short while decided to make the move to Spain to start a new life together and soon settled into a small village called Salinas after viewing the little house we now live in and falling in love with it instantly. Until just over a year ago Jo and I had a small shop in the village but sadly we had to close through non profitability. Since then we have done OK but never managed to even consider (or afford) funeral plans, We are young!, bad things dont happen to people like us!. After suffering with stomach pains for a while and we went to the hospital where they took tests and diagnosed diabetes, Jo was prescribed medication but the pain got worse, after revisiting the hospital a C.A.T scan revealed our worse nightmare, advanced Cancer in the Pancreas, Liver and several other vital organs including the Lung and Diaphragm. Our happy little world was instantly blown sky high. Jo is currently in severe pains with medication having little effect, I have to, for her, be prepared for the worse (the prognosis is very bleak with the chance in this situation of days or weeks to survive). Family have been so kind and some money has been raised but not enough to cover the high costs of funerals here, I would hate her to leave in some undignified manner and humbly ask you, your friends and anyone who does not even know us for some support, please!. The photo shown is of us on our wedding day in America in the back yard of my dads house in Depew N.Y, The happiest day ever, I still remember her seeing my jaw drop as I saw her looking as beautiful as she was/is. My world has fell apart, Jo is my life, my baby, my love, and to lose her even without any financial worries would be my world shattered. Jo is a loving and friendly girl, only 56 years old, complete animal lover often saying she has a lot more time for animals of which she has had many but two little dogs now who she dotes on. The funds I am trying to raise for her will hopefully cover a dignified send off which she deserves and time permitting some happy days where we can see maybe a little more of the country we love.
