Jorwina's Cancer Treatment Fund

We have made the challenging decision to set up this page to provide medical support for Jorwina Ditona. As a result of her current condition, she is unable to function as she would normally, which has prevented her from working and providing for her children.
On February 15, she went to the emergency room due to a high fever and was then diagnosed with endometrial cancer, stage 3. Due to other health complications, she had to undergo many procedures before the surgery, which had put a lot of weight on her financially.
When it came to her surgery on March 12, she had an asystole, or flat line. Her 17-year-old son, who was in school during this time, was called immediately to run to Red Cross to obtain five bags of blood so that his mom could be supported. The operation took 8 hours.
She was being monitored for three days before being discharged from the hospital. March 31st, she noticed liquid coming out of her stitches and had to return to the emergency room. Her daughter flew from the US to the Philippines to see her mom and to provide support for her and her younger siblings.
JD had to undergo another surgery where the surgeon found tumors and a blockage in her intestine. She currently has a colostomy and they are unsure if the cancer has spread or if she will have to go through chemotherapy. Her next biopsy will be on April 25.
JD has always been strong and resilient regardless of her health condition, but this has been one of the toughest experiences she’s had to face. Her family has spent over $20,000 in medical bills/medication alone. It’s hard on her loved ones to see her this way and are grateful for any donations (and prayers) that will help provide a positive future for JD and her family.
We will keep this page updated for any further procedures.
Much love.
