JORTSFEST is an arts and music festival that started in 2013 as a way to celebrate summertime and whose motto is “always free, always all ages, always accessible.” We are a festival that strives to be intentionally inclusive by:
- Not charging people money to attend (our event budget is based solely on our fundraising efforts);
- By allowing people of all ages to attend (we don’t limit our festival to 18+ or 21+);
- And by hosting our festival in transit accessible and ADA accessible locations.
We do this to actively reduce as many barriers to attendance as possible.
This year the event will be at Peters Street Station on Saturday, August 24th from 6pm - midnight. Performing at JORTSFEST will be:
- Dimestore
- Allen Thomas
- Identikit
- Angie Wheelis
- Tears for the Dying
- Floral Print
- Dagmar Vork
We have spent the last several months fundraising to cover all production costs, and now that we are in the final stretch, we need your help to make this possible!
