Community Leader Detained by ICE — We Need Your Support

Dear community,

We write to you with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency.

One of our worker leaders, Camilo, of the Day Laborer Committee in Princeton at Resistencia en Accion – NJ has been detained by ICE and is currently being transferred to an immigration detention center here in New Jersey. He has been organizing alongside fellow day laborers at his corner and leading with courage, and showing up for our community in every moment of need.

Now, he needs us!

His detention puts his freedom and safety at serious risk. His family is also in crisis — left without income, without stability, and without their loved one. We are urgently raising funds to cover his legal defense and to support his family during this incredibly difficult time.
