Jordyn "Jorie" is an amazing little baby girl who was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and put up for adoption as a newborn.
Josh and Mary Brniak, who had known for awhile that they were called to adopt a "special needs" child, were informed that she was in need of a home and approved to take her home in May 2015, one month after her birth. Since then, she has brought much life and joy to this already lively family of 5.
After numerous disheartening tests and doctors visits over the past year showing signs of potential physical and mental damage, God performed a miracle when doctors told Josh and Mary in early February 2016 that this little angel was ahead of her age in mental development with no serious physical abnormalities at this time. Praise God!
While we are all so excited and grateful to see Jorie thriving, Josh and Mary were denied social security benefits due to Jorie being in great health and are left with a hefty adoption bill. As a now family of 6, this bill is a difficult financial burden on them.
This adoption has cost a little over $10,000, and the next $3,000 payment is due by the end of April 2016.
