My name is Jorge and I'm fighting!

Hello, my name is Jorge. I am 33y/o and, unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with a type of cancer called 'Follicular Lymphoma'.

I have a tumor in my chest that needs to be treated with Chemotherapy, a treatment that in my country (Venezuela) is extremely expensive.
Insurance covers a minimal part of the cost, and the financial and socio-political situation the country is currently going through just makes things worse; the lack of basic medications have sent the cost of more specialized ones through the roof.

That's why I have decided to create this page. Because my fight is just beginning, and I must face the difficult path that now lays before me with all the courage and determination I have, but I need your help.

I'm aware there are at least two good reasons why people will often not publish something like this: Shame and Prejudice. But whoever you are, either a friend or a kind stranger, I know that if you are here, reading my story you will not judge me.

I have a strong desire TO LIVE, to reach my goals, my dreams and plans! And that overpowers any shame one could feel for asking people over the internet to do whatever small part they can to contribute. 

Even if you cannot donate, I humbly ask you to please share my plead with others via social media, or email, or whatever way you can think of to reach as many supporters as you can. My battle, my treatment, and thus my life may depend on it.

Your help is very important to me, and I hope one day I will be able to return it somehow.
But I know that the love and good wishes of friends and family, and everyone involved, I won't ever be able to repay; you are truly the best.
