Jorge's Support My Visa and Fitness Journey.

Hello, I'm Jorge, and I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support. I am currently fundraising to cover the costs of my visa application and legal fees. At 32 years old, I am a fitness and personal trainer, as well as a dedicated CrossFit athlete. Many of you may recognize me from my coaching and competing in CrossFit, indoor cycling, and bootcamp.

Five months ago, I arrived in New York with a dream - a dream to become one of the best trainers in the city. I dedicated nine years of my life in Mexico preparing for this moment, honing my skills in fitness, CrossFit, and various disciplines. Despite facing financial struggles as an LGBTQ athlete and coach in Mexico, I remained positive, radiating good energy, and confronting life's challenges head-on.

In May, after much contemplation, I made the life-changing decision to return to New York. Although I didn't have a job at that time, I sold all my belongings in Mexico, converting the proceeds from pesos to dollars to secure my plane ticket. On August 26th, with my dog, two suitcases, and unwavering determination, I bid farewell to my family and friends.

Upon my return, my best friend graciously offered me a place to stay, supporting me by providing shelter, food, and even a new phone number. Since then, I have been tirelessly proving to myself and New York that I belong here. Each day, I give my best as a coach, friend, and human being. I've built two incredible families here, both of which have been immensely supportive.

Now, I find myself at a crucial juncture. I am fundraising to cover the legal fees for my O1 VISA, specifically the artist visa for fitness. I have fallen in love with New York, and I am determined to continue contributing to the community that has embraced me. I don't want to leave; there is still so much more I can offer to New York and everyone who knows me. With only three weeks left to complete this process before my time here ends, I urgently seek your assistance.
