On April 4th we lost an extraordinary person, Jorge "Betito" Gutarra .There are no words to adequately describe this heartbreaking loss for the people who loved him. He was a loving, wise, compassionate and funny soul. He was a beloved husband and father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Most of all he was incredibly loved by everyone who knew him.
Jorge was a pioneer in his field and visionary artist whose legacy will live on through his awe-inspiring flatware sculptures . These pieces will no doubt continue to inspire many artists for years to come.
So many of have reached out and asked if there is anything they can do, or if they can help, and for that we are so incredibly grateful and humble. It speaks so highly of what an impact Jorge had on the lives of everyone he knew. All contributions made here will be to used to help Jorge's widow Malena. We sincerely thank you all for your well wishes and condolences during this difficult time. It means so much to all of us.
