My name is Kevin. Jorge was my friend, and the driving force behind me to establish our departments first honor guard. We are setting up this funding page to offset the expenses for the honor guard, that Jorge Pastore was a founding member of, to Austin Texas to participate in his memorial service. Jorge Pastore started his adult life by volunteering for the U.S. ARMY. He served overseas in combat with honor and distinction. After returning to the US and completing his military service, Jorge went to the fire academy, EMT, and paramedic school. He served as a firefighter/paramedic achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Jorge was presented an opportunity to leave the fire department, and move to Austin Texas and take part in developing the SWAT medic program. Once in Austin, he completed the police academy, and SWAT training. On November 11, 2023 around 4 A.M., he made entry to a hostile situation with his team to try and save hostages. He was shot and killed in the line of duty. The donations will be going to assist in offsetting the expenses the honor guard team members are going to have while traveling to Austin Texas from Florida to work along side his departments honor guard in honoring him at his funeral service. In addition the funds will be used to pay for the flags and shadow boxes that will be used.
Thank you for any and all donations.
