Hey there!

My name is Jorge Cruz-Hernandez. I’m 17 years old, I go to Schaumburg High School, and I’m from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. I’m an aspiring young bassoonist who’s looking to pursue a professional music career and will be applying to undergraduate music programs this year. I am extremely grateful to have been given the love and support by my family, friends, school, and teachers to be where I am today. Some of my biggest and most meaningful highlights include being on NPR’s From The Top and being accepted as a fellow with Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative.

I am currently working towards getting a professional bassoon to hopefully last me my career. While I have come a long way with so many people supporting and believing in me, I just need a little bit more help in order to make this purchase possible and my dreams of becoming a professional musician that much more reachable.
