Jorge Araujo No One Fights Alone

My uncle Jorge is an amazing hardworking person. He is an incredible father, friend, uncle, grandfather, compadre,  and an incredible husband.  In late August he started to feel a little sick, so him and his wife (my aunt) Lupe went to the doctors where he had routine blood work performed, which revealed startling results. My uncle was immediately referred to a hospital 1 hour away from his home, where he has been treated since September 4th.

After multiple other blood test and bone marrow biopsy , it was revealed that my uncle had APL. Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, also known as APL. Its an extremely rare  aggressive blood cancer.  My aunt Lupe has been by his side since and has not left. Their kids have also been there when they aren’t at work or at school.

The community support has been amazing and has greatly helped my Uncle Jorge keep his morale up. I am sure my uncle will overcome this battle with the help of  his community including his family and friends.

Since my Uncle will not be able to work for the next 18 to 24 months at a minimum per his treating physician. His children are trying to help alleviate their burden as much as possible, however they can't do it alone.  We are trying to help raise money for Lupe and Jorge through this hard time to reduce their financial stress.
