Jordy's Fight Fund

Hi Everyone,
Bee and Sami here. We're fortunate to be long-standing friends of Emily and Jarryd Chapman, and many of you reading this probably share in this luck. Right now, they're facing a challenge that has completely upended their world. On July 21st, their 3-year-old daughter, Jordyn, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called a Wilms Tumour. Jordy's strength reminds us that even the smallest among us can exhibit incredible resilience in tough times!
The whole Chapman family shares her resilience. They've faced this challenge head-on and with incredible courage, even amidst the demands of a young family. Jordy has a big brother, Cohen, who turns 6 in October, and a baby brother, Parker, who was just 6 months old when she was diagnosed.
But the road ahead is going to be really tough. Their family is bracing for many more intense medical procedures, treatments, and hospital visits. Despite the difficulty, there is hope thanks to some recent medical advancements. However, they are already facing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, to remove her kidney as well as the tumour, and (recently confirmed) more chemotherapy. It's a path that really does demand support and resources.
You probably already know that Jarryd and Em have hearts of gold. They have always been the first to extend a hand and enhance the lives of others. If you have the capacity, returning the favour would make a world of difference.
The financial strain of Emily needing to take at least a year off work to accommodate this time, coupled with unforeseen costs and daily living expenses, is substantial. This is why we're reaching out with a heartfelt request – whether it's contributing financially, keeping them in your thoughts, or sharing this GoFundMe on your socials- every little contribution, regardless of size, could help alleviate their burden so they can focus on what truly matters: supporting Jordy on her journey to recovery.
Jordy, Jarryd, and some close friends will also be shaving their heads in the coming weeks to raise additional funds. You'll see touches of pink and purple (her favourite colours) on the heads of her family and friends. If you'd like to get involved in this, please reach out here or to Em or Jarryd.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Together, we can make a big difference for this beautiful young family.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Bianca and Sami
