For Jorden and her family

Many of you will know Jorden from her amazing Baby Music classes, from her Music Therapy work with neurodiverse children, or from her community-building efforts organizing 2020 baby meet-ups at Delaneys and later (when attendance was too large for Covid protocols) at Bridgman Park. Jorden and her family are going through the most difficult time of their lives. After making it through the first trimester with a healthy pregnancy they were ready to announce to the world that their family would be growing by 2 - they were expecting twins! Two weeks ago one amniotic sac broke, ending the life of one baby and putting baby 2 and mother at grave risk. This week their family had to induce the non-viable birth of baby 2 to save Jorden’s life from infection. She is still at Women’s Hospital on IV antibiotics, battling this infection, with Thomas by her side. In addition to dealing with their devastating grief, they are dealing with the financial stress caused by Jorden missing so much work this month, and she has been told she won’t be able to work again for at least the rest of December and probably longer.
