Jordan's Life Changing Recovery

Hello, please read this message in its entirety, thank you!

My name is Justin and I am creating this fundraiser for my brother Jordan. Jordan is my only brother, and throughout our entire lives together, there was always one dream we all had as a family for Jordan ever since he was born; to get a new kidney.

A little backstory - my brother Jordan is almost 30 years old and throughout his entire life he has been living with one kidney. When he was born, due to unfortunate failure they removed one kidney from him. Throughout the first two decades of his life he has been living fine on his one kidney but it wasn't until about after those two decades his only kidney started to fail rapidly. Consequently, Jordan has lived the last decade of his life in agony and stress. Throughout the last ten years he has gone through many continuous therapies to help him feel better every day. This included multiple surgeries, tons of dialysis every other day for a good fraction of the day, and having a physical catheter coming out of his body for treatment amongst others. I can only imagine the dreadfulness of any thoughts that he had to himself about how much longer he can take it, to be so young and have to face those thoughts made my family and I incredibly sad.

Despite all of the draining events that he has to deal with in order to stay healthy, Jordan every day still worked hard to keep his body and his mind in shape. He still went to work every day at two different jobs, worked out every day to stay in shape, visited family and friends to help with things when help was needed even after being drained of blood and energy for almost half of the day every other day.

Throughout the course of all of our lives together we have had a lot of false hope given to us. About six times have we been lead to believe that Jordan was finally going to get a kidney just to be let down of it never happening. My siblings and I have tried to donate our kidney to him but were not able to due to incompatibility.

Recently, out of nowhere, something amazing happened. We were all at work and received a text message from our sister saying "This is it, this may very well be the night Jordan finally gets his kidney". It was so shocking and out of nowhere as we were never expecting this kind of news at all or any time soon even. With that being said, my whole family prayed every night for him that it would finally happen as he would wait admitted, waiting for a conclusion from the doctors.

Later the next evening, we found out that an operation was made and that it was successful. And with that news, our whole lives have changed drastically, especially for him.

With all of that being said, Jordan, as any other adult out there, still has responsibilities to take care of regardless of the surgery. Jordan can not work or do anything outside of resting for the next two months at least or longer depending on how he is feeling. My reason for this gofundme is to hope to help raise money to aide him in his recovery and to help him cover costs of food, medical bills, rent, necessities and many other things amongst those.

My family and I are truly grateful for any help that anybody is able to help give and anything contributed will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. We are already eternally grateful that he will finally get to live his life not only better, but the way he wants.

Thank you so much for your time and have blessed day.
