Jordan's Journey: Overcoming Paralysis

A mother's worst nightmare…
1:15 AM on May 3rd that dreaded phone call came in, waking me out of my sleep. "Your son has been in an accident and is at Kaiser Vacaville ER". No further information was forthcoming. I didn't even know if he was alive! I raced to the ER, thankfully only 10 minutes away. No one greeted me to give me any information, I was only told that the nurse manager would be informed that I had arrived. Prayers rolled around my head as I waited anxiously for anyone to come out to talk to me. It was 15 minutes before a police officer came out to greet me. He was able to tell me that Jordan was alive and was talking with the staff as they did their tests. This is all I knew. But at least he was alive and talking!
My 21 year-old son had broken his neck "pallet surfing". He had the fore thought to wear a helmet, which is why I believe he's alive today. However, his right side was completely paralyzed.
He was admitted to the ICU and surgery followed a few hours later. Immediately after, he was able to move his leg the tiniest bit! Over the next several days, he regained most movement in his right leg, and some movement in the right arm. After just one week in the hospital, he was transferred to inpatient rehab in Vallejo. He will remain there for approximately three weeks.
Any money received will go directly towards medical bills. I am very grateful and thankful for everyone's help!
No one ever thinks they will encounter something like this. I certainly didn't! But I do know that God's hand has been over my son this entire time and I am believing for a complete recovery.
