Help Me Earn My Aggie Ring

Howdy, y’all! My name is Jordan Driver, and I’m reaching out to share a piece of my story and ask for your help in achieving a goal that’s been years in the making—earning my Aggie Ring.

My journey at Texas A&M has been far from traditional. I originally came to A&M in 2016 to play football but left both the team and the university after my first year. Over the years, I dropped out twice, facing personal and financial challenges along the way. Despite everything, I fought hard to return to A&M because I’ve always dreamed of being an Aggie since I’m from Bryan.

Since coming back, these last two years have been some of the most fulfilling of my life, but they’ve also come with significant financial strain. Due to the fact that it’s taken me so long to graduate, A&M no longer offers me financial aid. I’ve paid for my last three semesters out of pocket and with short-term loans, which has made it impossible to secure another loan until I pay off my current one.

Waiting to get my Aggie Ring is an option, but I’m so close to crossing the finish line that I’m trying every avenue to make it happen. This ring isn’t just a piece of jewelry—it’s a symbol of perseverance, tradition, and the Aggie Spirit.

I come from an Aggie family—both my mom, dad stepfather an few cousins and my sister attended A&M, and my sister earned her Aggie Ring last year (partly why my mom can’t help with mine). Earning my ring would mean the world to me, representing not just my academic achievements but also the resilience and determination it’s taken to get here.
