Jordan's International Meet
Donation protected
Meet Jordan Lewis. Jordan is a 16 year-old High School Junior from Port Chester, New York who has been invited to represent New York in the 2017 New York East Conference Track and Field Team at the Down Under International Games hosted on the Gold Coast of Australia.
It’s such an honor to be invited and he is excited to go, but his family cannot afford the price tag, so please read on about what an amazing and accomplished person he is, and click on that “donate” button to help get him there!
Jordan has overcome adversity in his young life and is growing up to be such an accomplished young man. He was born 3 weeks premature weighing barely 5 pounds. At 2 years old, he contracted a pulmonary virus that almost took his life, but he persevered. He has struggled throughout his life with asthma and hereditary hypertension, which he takes medication for daily.
Jordan’s accomplishments are vast, but just to mention a few:
He has been on the honor roll from 6th to 9th grade
This past summer, he was chosen to participate in the Higher Learning classes for college. He spent a week at Manhattan College learning about Digital Media and Communications, which will also be his major in College. As a result of his performance in this class, Jordan has been asked to - and will be attending - the 2017 Presidential Inauguration
He has been the Running Back on the varsity football team since 9th grade and is currently being recruited by several Division 1 NCAA Colleges
He was the only 8th grader who was part of the varsity track team that became League Champions in 2013
He was in the drumline in the Port Chester High School Marching Band in 8th and 9th grade
Track & Field accomplishments:
100m - fastest time was 11.1 seconds
200m - fastest time was 22.9 seconds
4x100m - fastest time was 44.9 seconds
Long jump - longest jump was 20 ft 9 inches
As you can clearly see, Jordan is very deserving of this opportunity. Please help him out.
Thank you !
