GIRL INTERRUPTED BUT FIGHTING BACK!
Hi, my name is Jordan Fambro and I have Chronic Lyme Disease. Lyme is different for everyone, however, they do all have one thing in common…THERE IS NO KNOWN CURE. I have been struggling for more then 6 years now, but just got diagnosed with Lyme Disease 6 months ago. In the picture above you can see my facial paralysis (in my smile). In fact, if you look though all of my pictures you can see it throughout the years.
I also have other symptoms such as chronic fatigue, generalized joint pain, chronic migraines, myoclonic seizures, in addition to autoimmune disorders: Hashimoto’s disease, Epstein Barr, and of course, Lyme. Lyme bacteria (Borrelia burgdorferi) crossed the blood-brain barrier into my brain and central nervous system, causing multiple neuropathies, short term memory loss, and brain fog. If that’s not enough, I have Raynaud’s syndrome, fainting spells and a bounding pulse, at times. It has limited my everyday activities. Having a illness that you can not control is very hard especially when you have big dreams. I want to major in ASL (Deaf Studies) and be an interpreter. I also want to go to third world countries and help children! However, it requires certain immunizations when traveling to those areas. Vaccines attack my body, instead of protecting it.
Though there is no current cure, there is supportive therapy. No prescription drugs help. I am on supplements, but hope to add PEMF (pulse electric magnetic field) to my treatment regiment. This is where you come in. I need to raise $13,000 for a PEMF machine, called AMPCoil. PEMF helps heal your body from the inside out, repairing dysfunctional cells at a cellular level, enabling one’s natural immune system to become stronger and work more efficiently.
