Jordan is a very smart, handsome, talented and all around great little boy. As most of you may know or have seen Jordan Monaghan was taken to the hospital on March 9, 2019, with a migraine that even after medication, it didn’t get better. They were going to send him home but Tracy (Jordan’s life saver and hero) refused to let them and pushed for them to do a CT scan of his head where they found a mass pushing down on his brainstem. This resulted in him needing to be lifelined to Riley Children's hospital. When he got there, they took him straight to surgery to insert a drain in his head to relieve the pressure and fluid off of his brain, which is what is keeping him safe right now. He then had a 2-hour MRI of his brain and spinal cord (they usually only take 2,000 pic but they took 8,000 on him). The results came back that he has a 4cm by 5cm tumor pushing on his brainstem the doctor referred to it as “aggressive growing” and a “nasty one” (tumor). He is scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor on Wednesday and they are hoping to be able to get all of it but might have to leave some to avoid paralyzing him if any of it is on his actual brainstem. If they are unable to get all of it, they will possibly have to do chemo/ radiation to kill off the rest of it. After the neurosurgeon removes it, they will take a biopsy to see what kind of tumor it is. There are also 2 blood vessels going right through this nasty tumor. The surgery is expected to be 6-8 hours long. Please help if you can as this is just the beginning of a long road ahead. They will now be facing travel, food, lodging expenses and eventually medical expenses (whatever insurance doesn’t cover)and that will become pricey. Tracy and Cody would NEVER ask for help so we as a community can take it upon ourselves to ask and raise money for them. Please continue to pray for them throughout this time!
