Jordan Williams' Home Fire Loss

Donation protected

Jordan's been on our team for over four years. Last week he suffered an accidental fire in his bedroom. His cat perished in the event. He lost all of his personal effects. This is a partial list: Haverty's solid wood bed and frame, Serta foam mattress along with accompaniments (sheets, comforters, pillows, etc). Furniture such as his dresser and desk. Electronics including a MacBook, AirPods, vintage record player (and about 100 old vinyl albums). All of his clothing: business and casual pants/jeans/shirts, shoes and sundry unmentionables. The video may appear to show some salvageable items, but the smoke and soot caused an effective 100% loss of everything in his room. The door was shut, which kept the fire contained in his room. Fortunately the fire was discovered before it escaped the room. The house is barely livable due to the smoke and soot permeating the entire two story house via the HVAC duct system. Jordan's space is uninhabitable so he had to move. Unfortunately he didn't have renter's insurance, so there is no 3rd party help. He is grateful for the immediate response from the Pensacola Fire Dept. While he lost his beloved cat and all of his personal effects, they were able to contain the fire to his room and extinguish it immediately. A few more minutes w/o their help and the house could have been a total loss. He'd also like to thank the Red Cross again for giving him a $500 gift card while the fire dept was still on site (talk about an immediate response team). Jordan asked me to give 10% of his donations to the Pensacola Humane Society.
