Jordan Van Der Heyden’s fight for his life.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Riley and I am creating this Gofundme for my cousin Jordan Van Der Heyden who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Jordan was born on 13th April 1993 and has grown up on Phillip Island along with his 3 sisters and extended family. Jordan is a loved son, brother and partner to Ebba and loves surfing, snowboarding, travel and hanging out with his friends just like any other 29-year-old guy. However, his world was turned upside down in December 2021 when he went to Casey Hospital with suspected pericarditis after having his COVID vaccination, to suspected pneumonia and then diagnosed with lung cancer.
This all happened just weeks before Jordan and his beautiful partner Ebba were to return to Sweden to spend Christmas with Ebba’s family. Those plans were scuttled and since then Jordan has been on a roller coaster of hospital admissions, chemotherapy, gamma knife radiation and has had several litres of fluid drained from his lungs as well as being pumped full of toxic antibiotics due to unexplainable infections. The past 6 months for Jordan and Ebba have been hell with extended stays in hospital and brief times of staying at home.
Ebba has been by his side through all of this and as a consequence has not been available to work and they have had no income since Jordan became unwell. As you can imagine money is tight. Jordan’s treatment is ongoing and he is a fighter, the cancer has spread to his brain and liver but each time there is a change it is addressed with relevant treatment. We are wanting to raise $25,000 to assist Jordan and Ebba with the costs associated with travelling to Melbourne for treatment and medication as well as helping them to pay for day to day living expenses. Jordan is well supported by his family and friends but he needs more support if he is able to keep on fighting for his life and by donating to this Gofundme you will be showing Jordan how much people do care and want to help.
