Jordan Sowers': Support a Good Samaritan's Road to Recovery

Dear family and friends,

I'm Audrey Carl - you might know me as one of the many Swart cousins (Gerald and Nancy's side of the family). As Jordan's cousin, I've created this GoFundMe to help support her recovery after her recent accident.

I wanted to share some important news about Jordan Sowers. Last Wednesday morning (3/5/25), Jordan demonstrated the kind of selfless courage that truly defines who she is as a person. While driving along a Nemaha County highway with a friend, she came across a collision and, without hesitation, stopped to help those involved. It was during this act of compassion that Jordan was struck by another vehicle.

First responders rushed Jordan to Seneca hospital, where the medical team worked quickly to stabilize her condition. She was then life-flighted to Topeka for specialized care. I'm relieved to share that Jordan has already undergone her first surgery, which was successful – doctors placed three screws in her pelvic region to help her heal. While this is a positive first step, Jordan's recovery journey is just beginning. She'll need to remain non-weight bearing for the next four weeks, and will be returning home while working with outpatient rehabilitation and further specialized care during this critical time.

For those who know Jordan, this selfless act won't come as a surprise. Whether at work, with friends, or with family, Jordan has always been the first to extend a helping hand to others. Her giving nature and caring soul have touched so many lives, and now it's our turn to help her.

We're incredibly grateful that God watched over not only Jordan that day, but all those involved in the accident. As Jordan faces this challenging recovery period and temporary inability to work, we're reaching out to our community for support.
