Me Jordan our son Wyatt and friend Paul went to king of the hammers. On Thursday the 6th we were at a gathering called the back door bash. At some time around 9:30 PM a car going up the climb on the right side ended up flipping. Jordan was able to get Wyatt up and out of the way before he took the whole hit himself. Me and Paul were about 2.5 ft away from them and Paul yanked me out of the way or I would have been injured as well. I was able to get to Jordan and Wyatt through the crowd.Jordan had ahold of Wyatt some how he handed me Wyatt told me he was really hurt and to get Wyatt out of the chaos. I took Wyatt and Paul helped me make our way as quickly as possible back to the safety of our truck. Paul went back to Jordan and to find someone to check Wyatt out. He made it back in no time with an amazing woman that said she was an EMT that checked Wyatt amazingly. Paul ran back to Jordan and made sure through the whole incident that Jordan was taking care of and kept periodically checking in on me and Wyatt. Jordan was airlifted to the hospital around 11:30 PM. Me paul and Wyatt went back to camp to pack what we need then and get ahold of his mom and dad to inform them of what happened. Jordan ended up with a totally broken pelvis, shattered left hip socket, broke L 3, 4 and 5, tore left hip socket, tore his bladder and had internal bleeding. The doctors have already done a surgery on the 10th to stabilized the pelvis ring and that alone seemed to help him feel less pain. On the 12th they plan on doing another surgery to stabilize his left hip socket. After that we'll know more about his stay at either the hospital or a rehabilitation center here or possibly at home. I cant express how thankful and grateful I am that my little family made it out of all of this alive. If this incident has taught me one thing it's to cherish what you have or it could be ripped away from you at any moment.
