Jordan Moorhead, an extremely talented, vibrant, and young Realtor and fitness trainer who lives and works in both Minneapolis, MN and Austin, TX, was involved in a catastrophic motorcycle accident in Austin October 26. Jordan was visiting in Texas, looking to make a permanent move there, when another motorist turned across his path on a city street, leaving him nowhere to go other than to strike the other driver’s vehicle.
Jordan has sustained internal injuries, broken bones and a traumatic brain injury and is recovering at the Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin after being admitted through the Intensive Care Unit. The exceptional medical team there discovered breaks in his left ulna, radius and humerus, right ulna and radius, right femur, two places in his jaw, and in the vertebra at the base of his skull. He also sustained separation in his pelvis at three locations.
Jordan continues to recover in Dell Seton Medical Center, and will probably be there for some time before transfer to an inpatient rehab center for a long stay. He won’t be able to work or earn income for a number of months as he does intensive therapy.
We are very happy and grateful to report that his multiple surgeries have gone well, but his road to recovery will be a long, arduous and expensive one.
Jordan is an accomplished, fast-learning, and well-loved young man who has encountered adversity before and emerged better and stronger. Unfortunately, he has endured substantial injuries in this accident which translate to ever-growing medical bills without health coverage. We are asking his extended family of friends and associates to help him right away, as his medical bills for this experience will be staggering.
