Jordan, Madison, and Kyland

Earlier this week, baby Kyland came into the world unexpectedly. His heart was not beating like it was supposed to, so they took Madison in for an emergency C-section. After delivery, he showed signs of unknown complications. It was discovered his kidneys were not functioning, and he was transported by ambulance to Children's Mercy in the NICU to receive a 3-day treatment. During this time, his body was being cooled to help his brain overcome the trauma his body had endured. While Kyland was under this treatment, he experienced seven seizures in three days. At the beginning of this treatment, Madison and Jordan were separated while Jordan went to Children's Mercy to be with Kyland. Madison could not be with either of her boys for two days due to her recovery from such an invasive surgery. Kyland's three-day treatment has finished, and he is showing HUGE improvements! His Kidneys are working, and he has gone an entire day without a seizure. Although this is excellent news, this has been an unimaginably scary time for the Turner family. As of now, they are not sure how much longer they will be in the NICU. They need all the prayers and support they can get.
