On July 30, 2022, Jordan Kye had his whole day planned for his 19th Birthday. He was to jog, get him coffee at the local coffee shop, maintenance on his truck and then celebrate big at a bowling party with family and friends.
While we can’t understand, God had other plans. He finished his morning jog at 738am according to his last communication on snap chat. A short time after, he was found unresponsive by a neighbor 6 houses from his. EKG showed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which is known as a “hidden disease”. It is unknown how long Jordan Kye was in cardiac arrest before he was found. Due to the lack of oxygen to his brain he was unable to overcome the damage to his brain.
He had a bright future ahead of him with aspirations of becoming a fitness trainer. Although we would love for Jordan Kye to be here in our presence, God said he has fulfilled his purpose on Earth and has called him home. Jordan Kye was truly an Angel on this God green Earth, and we will make sure that his Legacy lives on by bringing awareness to his disease. Young athletes should seek a thorough physical examination that includes an in-depth cardiac exam.
Jordan Kye was a blessing to all that knew him and continues to bless people with his generous gift of life. He was an Organ Donor and in just 1 hour and 29 minutes he got to share great news for 6 candidates awaiting transplants.
The donations received will go toward funeral costs, medical expenses and any other unexpected costs. The parents would also like to raise awareness regarding Jordan Kye's disease.
