Joonie's Journey to Recovery

This is Joon.

Joon likes bananas, squeaky toys, and escaping through our backyard fence.

On his most recent adventure, 4/22/25 he was caught on an exposed nail and was rushed to the ER to treat a 2 inch semicircular laceration on his neck. On today's update check up, the vet informed us that the skin around the wound was no longer bonding together and they would have to completely restitch through two layers of skin, as well as insert a tube through which excess fluid from the wound is able to drain out. Because of the precarious position and depth of his injury, and because his healing process has been essentially reset - Joon remains under constant supervision as any changes in his condition will require another trip to our emergency vet.
