Hello everyone! As most of you know, our friend Jon Blalock has had some serious medical issues lately. He's our Batter's Box bartender and most importantly our dear friend. Anyone who knows Jon knows he goes out of his way to help friends or even a stranger in need.

 

As of Friday, November 26th, 2021, he has been admitted to St. Thomas Midtown. He has been diagnosed with Diverticulitis and a collapsed colon. He currently has a tube inserted through his nose to his stomach that has drained more than a gallon of bile out of his stomach. He also currently has a drain tube inserted into his lower abdomen to drain out the abscess around the rupture. They are trying to avoid surgery in hopes that Jon's body will heal itself. However, surgery is not off of the table completely, and it is an incredibly serious procedure.

 

Ultimately, all of this means he has been out of work and will continue to be out of work until he is healthy. The service industry is not always consistent and doesn’t always offer health benefits in this case, so to be out of work all together is terrifying.

 

His medical bills and personal bills have been weighing on him, so we want to try and relieve some of that stress. We just want our dearest friend to get better and not have to stress in a time of healing.
