DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT for Jon Means

Hello, my name is Sally and I am raising funds for the kindest and most giving person I have ever known - my brother Jon Means. He needs assistance with costs arising from a medically necessary double lung transplant. The transplant will be performed at Cleveland Clinic which is about 3.5 hours away from our home. Jon has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis which is a fatal lung disease.  Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a disease that causes scarring and stiffness in the lungs which makes it difficult to breathe. Lung damage from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is permanent and progressive which means it only gets worse over time. Jon will need to cover housing and living expenses while staying in Cleveland for at least two months after the transplant. Additionally, he will have significant costs associated with medication and dental care and insurance co-pays. All funds raised will be used to pay for the items listed above. The goal amount is the amount determined by the Cleveland Clinic as the minimum amount needed to get through the transplant process. 

Jon is the kindest and most giving man I have ever known. He has given everything he has to raise his two great-nephews for the past 10 years. Jon has been there for me throughout my many medical issues. He has never left my side. He goes out of his way to help anyone who needs help. He is completely selfless.  I want to show my brother Jon how much he is loved and appreciated. He is not even in his sixties yet and deserves the opportunity to grace this world with his kindness.
