Jons Amputation Surgery and Rehab

Donation protected
Two years ago Jon was diagnosed with a form of sarcoma cancer by his sitbone. He went through 5 weeks radiation and surgery to have it removed which was all very successful. Around Christmas time routine scans showed that it had returned, and Jon had another major surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Further testing showed that additional surgery would be required, this time a major amputation called a 'hemipelvectomy' which has resulted in the removal of his right leg at the hip.

Jon has been a dedicated volunteer firefighter in Chilliwack for almost 8 years, rarely missing a call and this surgery will obviously change that career as he knew it.

Jon and his wife Emily have 3 beautiful children. This surgery will change the dynamic of their family life, and this fundraiser will help ease the burden of these changes. The funds will go into an account that will help with expenses related to this surgery.

Most importantly, please pray for Jon, Emily, and their children.

Updates on Jon's recovery will be posted on Jons CaringBridge Page
