It's been 25 years since I went to "The Studio" in Springfield, Mo to record my album "Little Big Man", produced by my friend, the wonderful Eric "Roscoe" Ambel. In recent years we've often talked of conspiring to do another project together, before all is said and done. So, we're finally going to do it, this July, in Brooklyn! The song I'm playing in the video, "Coney Island Serenade" will be among the tunes that I'm planning to record.
Of course, the face of or the "music industry" has changed quite a bit in the past quarter century, and artists like myself have had to devise new ways of funding our projects, if we want to continue to navigate these waters. So, here I am.
I'm particularly excited about this project because for the first time in decades, I won't have to be producer, engineer, janitor etc, and I can, for once, concentrate on just being an artist (if only just for a few days!). I'm raising money to help defray the costs of paying for the studio, producer, session musicians, travel and other expenses related to this phase of the project. Everyone who helps out will, of course, get a copy of this thing, whenever it's released along with my abiding gratitude.
THANK YOU!!!
