Help Jonny Knogood in his time of need.

It is an African proverb that when spiders unite, they can tie up a lion. I would like to make a call to action to support a very close friend and Brother that I have known for over a decade and half.

Last Wednesday Jonny’s primary mode of transportation was disrupted. The alternator needs to be replaced on his 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid. Repairs are priced at $3200. Being that car is a hybrid, the alternator can only be purchased through the dealership. The alternator itself is priced at $2439.31 and labor is priced at $189.00 per hour with an estimated installation time of 3-3 1/2 hours.

I have watched Jonny tirelessly serve the Greater Omaha community for the last 12 years. Jonny consistently is present for community meetings, volunteering, encouraging others, prioritizing the youth and the elders, and creating a space where Black Men can feel seen, safe and valued.

Jonny graciously gives his time to serving the elderly, transporting them for errands, amongst other needed services provided. In addition, Jonny provides educational programming to middle school students and has worked as an adjunct faculty at Creighton University in the Upward Bound Program.

Many regard Jonny as a hidden pillar in the Greater Omaha community who is always providing his time, skills and assistance to many in need without ever asking for anything in return. One good favor deserves another, and now we ask if you would be so kind to provide a favor to Jonny.
