Hi I am Beckie, Jonny’s sister. I am sure you are aware of the fire which spread from a neighbouring unit on Friday 20th March through into to Jonny’s unit ‘Mays Garage’. Jonny was out when it started and came back to chaos. Video footage shows how quickly the fire spread. Jonny had to stand back from trying to rescue customer cars on order of the firefighters. The right thing to do but Jonny is currently haunted by having to listen to the fire destroy both customers, friends and his own treasured vehicles. He is left with no income and endless phone calls and wrangling with insurance and solicitors trying to find help and a solution. The enormous looming prospect of physically clearing and skipping the contents of his burnt out units. He has a heart of gold as anyone who knows him will testify. He is worried for his customers and friends over his own needs. His cars were a labour of love; the Desoto was so rare, the Beetles were set to race again…. every car in there has a story. I wanted to do something as I am sure many of you do too so let’s try a raise a bit of cash for him. Even if we raise £15 to buy him a bottle of gin it’s a help. Thank you xx
