Jonny & Kesha’s Baby

Donation protected

Hello my name is Nicky and I am the Mum of Jonny and his wife Kesha. After two recent devastating Losses of their daughter Amali and son Ezekiel, I am hoping to raise funds to help them be able to bring a happy, healthy baby home safely from the hospital.

Jonny & Kesha don’t like to ask for help, that is why I am taking it upon myself to ask for them.
As you read their story, I hope that your heart goes out to them and that your compassion will be shown through generosity. Your donation no matter how small is more than appreciated by us all. If there is anyone in the world who deserve to take home a healthy baby from the hospital it’s Jonny & Kesha. They have been through so much already and they deserve to be the parents, that nearly every couple truly in love, dream of. I hope that you can help in making their dream a reality ❤️

Let me tell you their story.

From the moment they started dating back in 2010, they were inseparable. After being married in 2014 they started trying to have a baby. After not falling pregnant they seen a GP and a fertility specialist where they found out that Kesha had some infertility issues and wasn’t able to ovulate on her own due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). They completed 5 rounds of clomid treatment, 2 rounds of letrazole treatment & 2 rounds of Gonal-f treatment, but still nothing. So then she had surgery called ovarian drilling, which has had success for others. They then had another round of Gonal-f treatment which resulted in the same outcome, her levels still didn’t reach ovulation, much to the surprise of the specialist. So after 8 long roller coaster years of disappointment, their specialist recommended IVF as the next step.

In 2022 Jonny & Kesha began a lengthy process to withdrawal some funds from Jonny’s superannuation to pay for IVF.

Unfortunately their first IVF round also ended in heartbreak. Due to Kesha’s PCOS, the high dose of fertility treatment medication causes her to overstimulate, they couldn’t have a fresh embryo transfer due to serious illness risks. They were able to fertilise 5 eggs, but these embryos had to make it to day 5, so they could freeze them to be used, but unfortunately none of the 5 made it, so they would have to start all over again.

They didn’t give up, after a few months break they tried again. The second IVF round overstimulation occurred again. This time they had 10 eggs out of these 10, only 2 made it to day 5 and were able to go in the freezer.

2 months later in March 2023 Jonny and Kesha transferred their first little embryo, 4 long anxious weeks later they got the wonderful news that Kesha was pregnant with Amali, they told everyone. It seemed like their dream was finally coming true. But tragically in July Kesha’s water broke, they were heartbroken as Baby Amali was too young to be able to go in the NICU, she was born 40hrs later on the 8th of July @ 4pm. This was the hardest thing Jonny & Kesha had ever faced, it bought them closer together and made them stronger.

After a couple of months break from treatments they decided to use their last embryo. And gratefully Kesha & Jonny were expecting again, after their second transfer was also successful.
We were all so excited and happy for them.

They were very careful and done everything they could, to ensure everything would be ok, hoping that they would have a better outcome this time round. There was comfort in knowing that the medical team put Kesha under the care of the early pregnancy assessment services up to 12 weeks and then transferred her to the care of the Preterm birth prevention clinic at our best woman’s hospital.

Cause of her previous loss, the clinic began an early cervical measurement ultrasound check, where they discovered Kesha’s cervix was shortening earlier than normal & it was recommended for Kesha to have a surgery called Cervical cerclage, trying to prevent preterm labour. Sadly during the surgery there was a complication and the surgeon accidentally ruptured Kesha’s waters. Jonny and Kesha were devastated when the doctors gave them the bad news, it bought back all of the trauma from losing Amali.

Kesha ended back on the same ward where no woman wants to go, and where she had just 6 months earlier had to deliver their daughter Amali. Drs highly suggested they terminate the pregnancy due to serious risks of infection. Jonny & Kesha couldn’t terminate him knowing his little heart was still beating strong, they hoped and prayed for a miracle.

Kesha and baby fought as hard as they could for 6 days in the hospital. But sadly on the 22nd of January things took a turn in the worst way possible, Kesha developed a fever that grew by the hour and multiple blood tests were showing signs of an increasing infection which turned sepsis quickly, because of all the stress her body was starting to prepare for labour so the Dr’s had to move things along fast with induction due to Kesha’s health rapidly deteriorating.

After being put into ICU, Kesha had to once again deliver her baby, this time a beautiful son, Ezekiel James Burdett was born [email redacted]m, who looked just like his Daddy.

We do not want their story of becoming parents to end there. For their dream to have their own little baby, they will need to undergo IVF again
IVF $15,000
Egg collection $1300
Annual freeze storage $495
then there is the cost of expensive medications plus Kesha will also need to pay for preventative surgery before even starting IVF treatment.

If you can in any way help them, I know they would be forever grateful, and if you are unable to help at this time a share of this to your friends and family would mean the world to us all as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to hear our hearts.
