Help Johnny battle brain cancer

Hi, my name is Greg Carkhuff and I am fund raising for my friend Johnny Lawless. Johnny was diagnosed with Glioblastoma late last year. Glioblastoma is an almost always fatal type of fast-growing brain cancer. The average length of survival for Glioblastoma patients is only 8 months.

Johnny is already beating the odds as it has been over 8 months, however the cancer and the treatments have forced Johnny to lose his job and his company health insurance. At the same time that Johnny is battling for his life he is also battling to stay afloat financially. Due to increasing medical bills, the loss of his job and company paid insurance, Johnny is fighting not only for his life but also to keep a roof over his head and to support his family.

Jonny is a loving father with three older adult boys, an upcoming college freshman daughter and a wife. I first met Johnny when I coached his daughter in travel softball. A bunch of players families were out eating and Johnny and I got into an argument about what position his daughter should play. At first it was not going well but a couple of beers and a shot or two later and we were best friends and have been ever since. He is a great friend to have. Always willing to lend a hand and always there when you need him.

I am trying to help Johnny keep his head above water so he can concentrate on staying alive and see his daughter graduate college, get married and have children. Johnny is a proud man and he did not ask for me to set up a "go fund me" for him but I know that every little bit helps and I know he needs help right now. So if you can help Johnny out that would be great. I know that I would greatly appreciate it and I know that Johnny would be forever grateful.

All funds received will go to Johnny for medical bills and living expenses.
