Jon Nowicki's Medical Fund

On April 4th, Erin and Jon went to a minute clinic because Jon was having what felt like flu-like symptoms. Erin was really sick with the flu so it seemed inevitable for Jon to catch it too.

When the doctor was taking Jon's vitals, she noticed his blood pressure was at 260/150 (?), and she started to go into a panic. She called 911 and had them take him to the ER. The doctor kept saying she didn't know how Jon wasn’t having a stroke or a heart attack, that he was only 29, and "this is not ok!"

After getting to the ER, the doctors spent hours trying to get Jon's blood pressure to go down and it just wasn’t. They took multiple MRIs, a heart scan, CT scan, and an x-ray. Jon ended up getting admitted into the hospital after 12 hours. In total, Jon was in the hospital for 5 days.

The doctors still do not know what is causing the spike in blood pressure. Jon is currently undergoing a barrage of testing until the root cause is figured out. Currently, his blood pressure is under control with three different medications.
