Video of Jonesy about two weeks before being shot.
The bullet broke his arm and is currently lodged inside his body with many fragments scattered throughout his shoulder. I could go on about the vile nature of his attacker, but this isn't about him/her. It's about Jonesy.
Right now, Jonesy is resting peacefully in my garage. He has a little room to himself and he's doing ok all things considered. The vet i took him to gave him antibiotics and painkillers But he needs surgery. I've called many vets and I'm pretty much getting the same story- "We can help him but our resources are limited so it's still gonna be a little expensive."
From his initial consultation, it appears as if Jonesy might need two separate procedures. The first is to get the bullet and the fragments out of his body. The second is to either repair his leg or amputated it all together.
Tomorrow, I am taking him to a different vet for a second opinion, But I doubt his prognosis will change. From my end, I'm pretty tapped out financially due to a medical condition I'm dealing with personally. I am, however, willing to adopt Jonesy and give him a loving FOREVER home. My family loves him. As I mentioned, Jonesy is a sweetheart of a cat. He's young (presumably less than 2 years old.) He has a lot of life left to live and we have a love to spare for him. He just needs the kindness and sympathy of others to give him a chance at a semi normal life.
In this post I will add pictures of him and his x-rays. All funds received will be used for his medical procedure(s) and post Op care/visits.
Thank you for reading and please consider donating to Jonesy's care.
