Mighty Molly and the Jones Family!

Tis' the season of giving, and this year I'd love if we could help out our own Roxbury native, Janel Jones, her family and specifically Little Molly Jones! Molly was born with an ultra rare genetic condition called ZC4H2 and if you've been following along Janel's journey, Molly has been through more in her short life than most adults deal with in their entire lifespans. She's had to endure multiple procedures/surgeries as well as hospital stays in her short 2.5 years.

I've known Janel personally for 30 years and to say she is a hard worker is the ultimate understatement. She and her family work tirelessly to make sure Molly sees all the specialists, all the therapists, does any treatment, and takes every step possible to ensure Molly has all the opportunities to flourish in whatever way that may look. But all of that does not come without a cost - it's time away from her and her husband's jobs, both of whom are educators and genuinely love their professions. It's also time away from their other two amazing kids, Maxine and Willie, and as parents we know how hard it can be to juggle life's obstacles and our children's needs. Adding a medically complex child in the mix makes it that much harder for them.

As Christmas is approaching, the Jones family is currently dealing with their second hospital stay at Goryeb Children's hospital in Morristown in 2 months, and this time the end isn't in sight for mighty Molly. That means each night a parent is sleeping there, and making the decision between missing work and leaving Molly alone. How amazing a gift would it be if we could give this family the money they could use for the medical expenses, travel expenses, and general needs as they work to get her better?! Janel and Kevin are the kind of people that are constantly doing for others and want nothing but good things for the people in their lives - Let's show them how loved and supported they are! Every dollar counts!
