As many of you know, I recently rang the bell in October after completing chemotherapy. In November, my CT scan showed that the tumors in my lymph nodes had decreased, and things were looking controlled and on track toward remission.
Unfortunately, my cancer (still classified as seminoma testicular cancer) has returned. It is now in the lymph nodes in my neck and has also spread to my left shoulder and the base of my skull. The good news is that there are no tumors in my brain.
We are currently in Dallas receiving care, and I begin my first round of a more aggressive chemotherapy regimen called TIP today in the hospital. During my stay, doctors will also perform a spinal tap to check for any involvement near the skull. This is precautionary, but if anything additional is found, I may need radiation and possibly more chemotherapy in that area.
After completing this phase, the plan is to move forward with a stem cell transplant followed by high-dose chemotherapy. The goal is to eliminate all cancer cells and get me back into remission.
I feel confident in the path ahead, even though I know this will be a difficult challenge. I’m staying optimistic and believe we can beat this and get life back on track. I’m incredibly grateful for the care I’m receiving here in Dallas and for the support surrounding me, truly means everything.
We are humbly asking for support to help with the medical bills, travel, and expenses that come with treatment. Any contribution, big or small, would mean so much to me and my family during this time. Your generosity, prayers, and encouragement are deeply appreciated.
