Hi everyone my name is Talia, I am Jonathan’s sister and am starting this fundraiser on behalf of him. On Wednesday, November 22nd shortly after 9pm Jonathan was involved in a serious car accident on his way home from the store. He lost control of his car and hit a tree.
First responders spent 45 minutes using the jaws-of-life to extricate him from the car. The dash was embedded into his lower half and it took them great efforts to get him out of his car. The engine was completely out of his car and his car is a total loss. Jonathan sustained major injuries. They were able to stabilize him in the ambulance but he had to be intubated once he got to the hospital.
Jonathan has suffered a broken right wrist, his femur in his right leg broke in 3 places, a broken left ankle, fractured ribs, and a bruised lung.
On thanskgiving day Jonathan underwent a 5+ hour orthopedic surgery to fix his injuries in both legs. He is still awaiting surgery to fix his wrist. He will need more surgeries in the future.
On Friday, the 24th, he received a blood transfusion in the morning and is currently recovering from his surgery. Surgery went well and he is awake and alert. Jonathan will be out of work for a very long time that is currently unknown. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. The money from this fundraiser will go towards his bills while out of work and whatever medical treatment he will need moving forward, plus other expenses.
