To know Jonathan is to have felt loved by him and he needs our love now!
Jonathan had brain surgery to remove a large tumor. Medical and living expenses are a big stress and every dollar will make a difference. Jonathan is everyone's friend and this is now our friend in need.
On Sunday, May 1, 2021 Jonathan was taken to the emergency room for severe headaches, nausea and difficulty walking. He was quickly diagnosed with a brain tumor and transferred to Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Monday morning brought lots of medical personnel, tests, and questions. The tumor was very large and likely had been growing for years. Plans were put in place for his brain surgery just three days later, Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
We are so grateful the surgery went well! We all have great hopes that the tumor is benign and are anxious for those results to come back in the near future. It has been a whirlwind week and the future course of action needed will be determined in time. Right now, his family is looking forward to his homecoming!
Jonathan and his sweet wife, Marianne, are parents to six fun and energetic young boys! They have the biggest hearts and they have the most fun house you could visit. (In addition to their five biological sons, they opened their hearts and home to a nephew whom they count among their own. At times, they also have a niece live with them!)
Previously, Jonathan had worked at a refinery as a process operator but 2020 and COVID-19 brought a (hopefully) temporary end to that career. He has been working any opportunity he finds and has felt the stress to support his family over the past year.. The medical bills for brain surgery will only add to the growing need to provide for his family.
Your generous support will quickly help with their medical and living expenses.
While we aren't sure how long the road to recovery will be, what a gift to relieve them of some of the financial stress and focus on Jonathan's recovery.
Jonathan and Marianne are so appreciative for the love, support, prayers, meals provided, childcare, concern expressed in their behalf and a multitude of kindnesses shown to them. I thank you as well!
Jonathan is always the life of the party and we want it to stay that way!
