It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the tragic passing of Jonathan Maksabo who left us on the morning of Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the age of 26.
Heartbroken does not begin to describe how we feel right now. While we are all coping with disbelief, we deeply appreciate the overwhelming support from those that have reached out. We want to organize an effort for the Maksabo family as they deal with this tragedy. He was a selfless son, compassionate brother and the most loyal friend. He was full of joy and energy, always finding a way to make others around him laugh. He is the glue that held us together, and his only priority in life was to secure the best future possible for his family.
Jonathan is survived by his younger brother Joseph, mother Gayda and father Steve. The family has requested space during this difficult period. Jonathan’s immediate family will be the sole beneficiaries of this fundraiser, and all proceeds will be used to support immediate funeral proceedings, handicap support and developmental care for his younger brother and financial care for the family. All donations, small or large, are greatly valued and will help create the future he envisioned for his family.
