A Friend in Need
I never thought I'd be the one in need. But here I am.. and, as life would have it, I am seeking some help. This past Fall, after some distressing Cardiac Events and a myriad of tests, I was diagnosed with something called Cardiomyopathy (Heart Failure). More specifically, Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC). While it is not curable and unfortunately progressive, there are treatments. The best treatments are a Pacemaker/ICD implant and/or a Heart Transplant (which is the more drastic option). The doctors do not yet know how fast this is progressing, but do know that I will need several operations ASAP. The nature of these operations and our Insurance coverage has the 'patient portion' of the costs well beyond our reach. We cannot proceed any further until we can budget these costs as well as our outstanding medical bills. As many of you know, I am a family man: a son, brother, husband, and father of two beautiful young girls. I'm looking forward to remaining on this earth as long as possible to see my girls grow into adulthood, and spend precious time with friends and family. While the gap in funding for my next steps is not monumental, it's out of our reach without help. Please consider helping fund - in any amount - the next chapter of our lives. Anything will help, along with sharing with your caring friends.
I love you all and I am looking forward to the day we can visit together again. Thank you for any help.
