A Beautiful Send Off In Memory Of Jonathan

Hi, my name is Khadisha and I am fundraising for my brothers funeral. I am the youngest sister of 4 girls. It is with a heavy heart that we have to express that our brother Jonathan passed away. Our only brother and our mothers only son. My family and I are in complete shock and disbelief because there is nothing that could have prepared us for this. On November 15th, 2023, we received information that he had unfortunately passed away on the E train. His body was found between two train cars unresponsive and bleeding from his head. You can only imagine the instant nightmare and horror my family and myself entered once realizing what was actually happening. My brother was found on November 14th, 2023 at 9PM with no contact or acknowledgment from the NYPD or hospital ; You can only imagine the terror in having to find out from a journalist just trying to get the scoop not realizing she was giving us news that our loved one passed away. Jonathan’s death is one that sits on every one of us hearts ; including whoever is reading this right now. I want you to know who you are supporting and helping. My brother was a special person. He was not perfect but he was worth it. I’m times like this, it really opens your eyes. We all face trials where we have to believe we can over come it and he did that. He was doing that! My brother was a good kid and he was sure of what’s he wanted for himself and was working towards that. 19 years old just trying to find his place in this world and be independent within himself. Those were always his goals and plan. Being someone he can be proud of and being able to take care of our mother. I’m not sure how we are going to get through this but we are certain that with faith in God, the love amongst each other, and the kindness and support from you all, we will stand strong. Furthermore, the main reason for this fundraiser is because we would love to send our brother off in the most beautiful way and with the suddenness of it all, we can really use the support from our family, friends, and just whoever wants to show love and support. We are asking for any donations you feel fit in helping us prepare for his send off and going home celebration.
