Jonathan Holmes - Heart Transplant expenses

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Haley Fields and I am Jonathan's sister-in-law. I am setting up this GoFund Me account to help with the unexpected living and medical expenses that he and his family will incur over the next several months. I will turn this account over completely to Kim for them to manage and have access to the funds raised.
For those of you who know Jonathan, you know that he has been fighting an uphill battle for the last ten years. This past week, he was put on the heart transplant list and will remain in ICU at Baptist Hospital in Memphis until one becomes available. They are expecting to at least be there through the Christmas holidays. Jonathan is from Eupora, MS and is married to Kim (Fields) Holmes and they have two children, Jarren (21) and Kailan (16). He has worked in radio broadcasting for Kicking 103, WLZA, and WFCA stations. Jonathan was also the PA announcer for multiple Mississippi State University Athletic programs (1997-2022); football, baseball, and women's basketball. As his health has deteriorated over the last couple of years, he has had to stop working all together.
Jonathan was seen in Memphis on October 16, 2023 and had several tests ran by his doctors. He was told that he would need a heart pump and a heart transplant in the coming weeks. The surgery for the heart pump went well and he is awaiting a heart (Stage 2), as sad as that will be for another family. The normal wait time is around 4 weeks but may take longer. He will then remain in the ICU Transplant unit for another month followed by numerous trips back and forth to Memphis for check-ups. Kim, his wife, is a stay at home mom who cares for their daughter that suffers from a severe seizure disorder. She also babysits children in her home. She will now have to remain with him in the hospital and they will no longer have her income to rely on. With generous donations of friends, family, and willing strangers, I hope that this is one less worry that they will have. Jonathan has always had a sweet smile on his face, a soft spoken voice, and a servant's heart! I know that the Lord will look over him and bless he and his family in the hard months ahead. I just ask that you whisper a prayer for Jonathan each night. Thank you!

*So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - Isaiah 41:10
