Jonathan Darwen - Memorial & Trinity Hospice
Donation protected
Hi All.
Jonathan Darwen was a friend to many. But he was my best friend. I'll never forget him. I've known him for over 30 years and I lived with him throughout lockdown for 227 days. We never once had a cross word.
He was taken way before his time due to brain tumours at the age of just 47. Leaving a huge hole in the lives of his teenage girls, partner and friends.
I'm looking for motivation to drag my fat ass, broken knees, ankles etc around Blackpool half Marathon in April 2025. (I've already entered).
I'd like to raise some money for two causes;
Firstly, to go towards a new Headstone for the plot where he has now been reunited with his parents, who also tragically died at a young age.
Secondly, Jonathan was fortunate (I don't use that word lightly) enough to spend his last few days in the care of Trinity Hospice in Blackpool. A place you will only ever appreciate in times such as this. The dignity that this afforded him was something special.
I know a lot of you thought so much of him.
His funeral was beautiful. Attended by hundreds. If you could support I would appreciate it.
Thank you
