Jonathan Ballina's Recovery

On October 24, 2019, a terrible car accident occurred involving 6 friends. As they were driving home, they struck a tree. This tragedy completely shocked our community and rocked it to the core. 2 young lives were taken, and 4 lives were changed forever. Jonny was taken into emergency surgery which saved his life. His immediate injuries from this accident included a shattered pelvis, two shattered femurs, a shattered left hand, and a laceration to his skull. Aside from his physical injuries, he is also emotionally broken after hearing that his best friend did not survive, and died in his lap. 

At this point, the doctors are saying that Jonathon will be unable to walk for 8 months to a year due to his injuries, but he is 'stable'. He is in a lot of pain, and is still processing what happened. Life will never be the same, but he is strong and he will make it through in due time. We are so grateful that Jonny is ok, and that he can live on to honor the lives that were taken so tragically, and live on for his 1 year old son, who needs his father.

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone for all of the love, prayers, and support that has been extended to our families, and the other families. We are all a community, and the love has been overwhelming in a great way. He will be transferred out of ICU sometime this weekend, and transferred to another hospital to continue monitoring his condition, and begin therapy. 

We are asking for donations to help Jonny with his recovery, which will include extensive medical costs, and arranges for his at home care after the fact, which will include wheel chair additions and renovations to his room to accommodate him. More then anything, we ask that you keep the other families in your prayers, and lift them up in any way you can. My sister Nicole thanks all of you for everything you have said and done for her, and wants you to know that she appreciates all of you.
